Practice description

Sarah Bouazzouz has almost 15 years of experience advising institutional and corporate clients on investment funds, banking and finance, and corporate matters, gained in leading international law firms and within a regulated Luxembourg financial institution.

She has significant experience in the structuring and restructuring of regulated and unregulated investment funds, including UCITS and alternative investment funds (e.g. AIF, SIF, SICAR, RAIF, SCSp), as well as in fund-related financing matters. Her practice also covers banking and finance, corporate and regulatory matters.

Sarah joined CK Partners as Senior Counsel to develop and strengthen the firm's Investment Funds practice, advising asset managers, fund sponsors and institutional clients on Luxembourg investment fund structures and related transactions.

Career

Prior to joining CK Partners, Sarah practised for almost ten years at Linklaters Luxembourg, where she was a Managing Associate in the Investment Funds and Financial Regulation practice. She advised institutional clients on the structuring and restructuring of UCITS and alternative investment funds and on complex cross-border matters. In 2018, she was seconded to the firm's London office.

Sarah subsequently joined Banque de Luxembourg as Principal Legal Counsel, where she advised on banking and finance matters, including private client lending, corporate lending and investment fund finance, as well as related regulatory matters.

She later established her own legal practice in France, advising corporate clients on governance, corporate reorganisations, M&A transactions and commercial law matters.

She then returned to Luxembourg where she was a member of the Investment Funds Knowledge Group at one of Luxembourg's leading independent business law firms.

Education

Sarah obtained a Master's Degree in Business Law and Tax Law (DJCE) with merit from the University of Nancy 2 (France) in 2010.

She also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Law with merit from the University of Nancy 2.

Sarah completed her bar training at ERAGE in Strasbourg and obtained the CAPA in 2012. She also obtained a Mediation Consultant certification in 2026.

She is registered with List I of the Luxembourg Bar as Avocat à la Cour and was previously admitted to the Paris Bar.

Languages

Sarah is a native French speaker and fluent in English. She also has an intermediate knowledge of German.
